ABSC Approval for Mattress Recyclers
Soft Landing is an approved mattress recycler by the Australian Bedding Stewardship Council (ABSC) for demonstrating safe and environmentally responsible collection, storage and recovery of end-of-life mattresses and their component materials.
Approximately 1.8 million mattresses are disposed of each year. Placed end-to-end they would stretch from Darwin to the tip of Tasmania. Many of them end up in landfill and some even on our streets. The ABSC is a not-for-profit entity that was established in 2020 to tackle the problem of end-of-life mattresses in Australia to keep them out of landfill and off our streets. To learn more visit:
