A new recycling facility has opened its doors in Wangara, expanding Perth’s recycling capabilities for mattresses, whitegoods and furniture.

Soft Landing Mattress Recycling’s new Wangara warehouse replaces its old location, which was also in Wangara, and is set to expand the organisation and its efficiency.

The expansion is expected to enable the plant to better meet the growing recycling needs of Perth and support local job creation.

Over the past five years, Soft Landing Perth has collaborated with councils, retail partners and residents to collect and recycle nearly 500,000 mattresses and 30,000 whitegoods, diverting more than 13,000 tonnes of waste from landfill.
